Here's our backstory...

Members of the original team started working with these weight aided treatments back in 2017 when they were in the early stages of entering the UK market with another company with clinics in Cheshire and London (the famous Harley Street no less). That company helped introduce the team to these medications and how they can be used in a positive manner to help people lead healthier lives. Starting off with meal ideas and basic recipes, we saw the demand for a fully holistic & inclusive service, so the next chapter began...

 

Branching out, Slim Transformation started in July 2018 with a focus on progressing the holistic side of the patient's journey. This focus drove the development our aftercare package. This would include free adjuncts to the medication, such as needles, swabs & sharps bins but also an aftercare encompassing advice, compassionate support and professional guidance.

 

With this in mind, we developed meal plans and exercise plans written by a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer for all our customers. We developed and grew our database of recipes on our website, whilst also growing our blog to highlight how healthy eating and exercise can be incorporated with the medication to achieve healthier habits and lifestyle changes to ensure progress made would be progress lost.

With the Covid-19 pandemic hitting, any physical clinics we sought referrals from had to close. Whilst we already had the set-up for online consultations (telephone calls, video calls and online forms), we were thrown into a grey area of how to operate without being able to physically see customers. As we used prescribers and registered pharmacies, with their input and from looking at the relevant guidance from the UK regulators, we were able to form consultations via telephone, email and online (video calls) alongside an in-depth health form to align with current practice in both the private and public sectors (including NHS registered clinics and GP surgeries). This was to ensure we could safely and effectively offer our service to our clients.

Ensuring we are providing treatment appropriately, we continued to develop our checks, including a recognised form of ID, proof of previous usage of medicines, letters from doctors / clinics confirming approval for use of any treatments we offer and confirming facts submitted by customers. All this information is kept confidential and only shared with the appropriate parties to ensure safe and effective treatment.

 

As the medications became more popular and exposed in the media (including our own clinic's view on these medications in The Telegraph), so did the availability of them online through a plethora of online pharmacies. From emails and social media posts, we started to realise that a lot of these online providers were not readily available to offer the necessary advice & support patients require when using these types of medications. When we started to receive a lot of queries from people who were not our clients, we realised there needed to be somewhere for them to turn to for support if their providers could not do so.

We therefore created a free Facebook Support Group for users of the medications to join - this enabled them to share stories, have a sense of community with others going through a similar journey and also ask questions to get advice from us. alongside this, we were also curating as much information as possible to help create our free Support Hub so that everyone, whether a customer or not, could access support & guidance via our Facebook group and via our Support Hub, without any emphasis on using us for their treatment.

As more products became available and greater scrutiny of these medications grew, our ethos continues to enshrine providing a holistic, safe & effective service for all of our customers, regardless of the service or product purchased. We are also your advocate with your GP should you need us to be, and also with the pharmacies and manufacturers of the products provided.

 

We are proud to say that we have retained many repeat customers over the years and offer a service encompassing the mantra that "your success is our success" - we wouldn't be here without the customer at the heart of what we do.​
